Spruce and oak

This is a traditional type of boat from Blekinge in Sweden called flateka. This type of boat was used as workboat for all sorts of tasks. It is mainly built of spruce, with the keel and some components made of oak. It is built using clinker construction which goes back more than 1000 years and the viking era.
